The craze for Labubub around the world is just increasing with no sight of not dying down. There are more PopMart stores opening around Sydney but in Thailand, it is like a new level of craze. With the current exchange rate (which isn't great), it is still much cheaper to buy these dolls in Asia if they have stock. The PopMart stores in Thailand is everyone, they even have pop up stores at certain places with lines going around the block.
I was in Siam when my friend messaged me they are lining up for Labubu at Terminal 21 and if I am free and want a box should come and try my luck. I thought I'll go as I live close to the center anyways and gosh the line was already around the center. The line looked too long to even try but friends were saying they are clearing it very quickly, the only thing to worry is if they have enough stock. As were were discussing, we saw a full trolley worth of stock coming through so we knew we had a chance. Each person who is lining up gets a number before they go in to ensure everyone can only get 1 box of the Big Into Energy series. After 30 minutes or so, I've got mine but my friends wanted another box so I waited for them around the center. My issue is I don't have much luggage space left so in order to take it back home, I probably need to get another luggage and it isn't worth it.
Like I mentioned, I don't think I will line up for them again, not a huge fan but thought I'll get a few to join the trend.
