There is a place in the Central Balkan, which I have long wanted to visit, but I was still not able to.

And this month, my girlfriends and I decided to go to the area and climb to Rayskoto Rraskalo Waterfall - the highest waterfall in Bulgaria - 124,5 м.

To get there we planned to stay in the city of Kalofer in the evening. Early in the morning we start the hiking trip from Panicite Locality to Rai hut, which is a starting point.

Early in the morning we arrived by car in the Panicite Locality, where there are huge meadow and many cars and campers can be parked there.

The trail started with a steep climb on an uneven wooded terrain.

Along the way it was full of herbs and wild flowers and there were many cows that grazed around.

The interesting thing was that along the way we saw a building from which coffee, beer and water could be purchased - in such a place it was unusual. It was closed early in the morning but on the return it was open and even there were visitors.

Along the way we met many tourists like us, and it was especially fun when we met people from our hometown.

Gradually, we began to enter a rocky terrain that soon led us to a forest area. We entered the Rogachevata forest, the transition through which it was very nice.

At noon, there were many people at the hut. Some were resting in the meadow, others were eating outside, and others were looking around.

There was a chapel along the way, which was a place full of peace and quiet.

From a beautiful stone fountain, you can pour yourself clean mountain water.

We continued to the waterfall, and the road became steeper and steeper. There were so many beautiful flowers, and the views became more and more impressive.

It is located on the southern slope of Botev Peak and is formed by the waters of the Praskalska River.

We spent some time there and didn't feel like leaving. But we had a long way to go, so we carefully made our way down.

The descent to Kalofer was faster and again very pleasant, passing through these beautiful paths.
