Shortly: if you promote Hive blockchain in the description of your Youtube/X/IG video, you can get OCD upvote by posting a link to such a video in Snaps of HivePosh community.

I will be talking here primarily about those who record music videos for Hive performance contests, but other video content is also suitable for this program.

More details now, but first, let me introduce HivePosh. HivePosh is a community-driven marketing initiative led by @acidyo, aimed at promoting the Hive blockchain on mainstream social media. It already brings thousands of visitors from Reddit each month, but we want to go further. That’s why we launched HivePosh Snaps program - a way for anyone to earn rewards by promoting Hive on any platform.

How HivePosh Snaps Work

You can use it in three ways:

1. Ask for likes

If you posted a video with Hive promotion in the description, you can ask for support from Hive community - for likes first of all, reposts, and subscribers. To do so, post a link to your video in HivePosh snaps and add a tag #gosh (an example of #gosh snap). People in HivePosh snaps support voluntarily, so try to show something special to attract their attention.

HivePosh snaps program was started quite recently, so you won't get many likes there but, as you probably know, even several early likes can make the YouTube algorithm work in your favor so try #gosh to boost your chances of reaching thousands of views.

2. Ask for a reward

If your video with Hive-promotional description has already generated many views, you can ask for OCD upvote. Post the link with tag #posh in HivePosh snaps to ask for a reward (an example of #posh snap). Two ingredients of success is here:

  1. The more views your video generated, the bigger upvote you'll get.
  2. The better your Hive promotion in description, the bigger upvote you'll get.

3. Support others with likes and reposts

You can look at the feed of HivePosh snaps and choose snaps to support with your X/YT/IG accounts. Then, share a screenshot of your like or/and repost to get an upvote.

How to promote Hive in descriptions of videos?

There is no single recipe for this. For example: write a couple of sincere words about Hive - why do you recommend it? - tell about a music contest you entered, and post a link to one of the Hive frontends. Adding another link leading to any sort of Hive presentation can be useful too, for example, you can find amazing Spanish Hive promo videos on https://www.instagram.com/hiveblocks_es/ One of them: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DKroaCMg0rN/ This:

Thus, your video's description can be like this:

This cover is an entry for a weekly performance contest. If you want to participate too, join the Vibes community on the Hive blockchain: https://peakd.com/c/hive-140169
Everyone is welcome! Earn crypto for what you vlog and blog on Hive!

You can choose another frontend and community to mention in the description. You can choose another Hive presentation. For example, I really like this, by @rutablockchain:

You can write your own Hive promo description for your videos. Use your creativity to tell the world why signing up for Hive is a good idea.

How to optimize your YouTube videos

If you want better reward for your #posh snap, you should generate many views and likes with your Youtube video. So do basic work to optimize your video for the Youtube algorithm.

You can talk to ChatGPT to learn about YT optimization but the most basic thing is, of course, the title.

Title should clearly describe your video

The title of your cover video should include:

  • The name of the song you are performing - always,
  • the name of the original music performer, optionally,
  • and the word "cover" - always.
  • if you accompany with an instrument, mention it in the title, too.

You can also mention your name, of course, to promote your personal brand or anything else. But the core should be "song name" + "cover".

Be short when you are announcing the music contest at the beginning of your video

When your video is found by a stranger, you have several seconds to make a good impression with your performance. Talking for several seconds at the beginning of your cover, like, "hello everyone, hope you are fine, this composition has been recorded specially for music festival number 1245565, and I hope you will like it" - is a bad idea. Be as short as possible.

Hope to see your videos in HivePosh Snaps soon! If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask me in the comments section! πŸ™‚
