Heyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, how's it going?

For some time now, a group of us NFT artists have been coming together to collaborate on drops, which we publish on Salvor. The dynamic is simple but powerful: one common theme, and each artist creates a piece based on their own vision and style. The result is always fascinating because, even though we start from the same concept, each artwork is unique and reflects very different interpretations. That’s the magic of art.

Our first drop was titled “Peeks Inside the Mind” and as the name suggests, it revolved around the mind. It was a very personal theme for many of us, and that really came through in the pieces. All the auctions started and ended at the same time, following a shared plan. It was beautiful to see how different perspectives could come together under a single conceptual umbrella.

So, today I want to tell you about the piece I made for this entry. It was called “Inside,” just like the title says. I had a bunch of ideas spinning around in my head at first, but after a while I settled on this one, which I feel represents something that lives inside my mind in one way or another.

I wanted to explore the idea of the subconscious a bit. That part of the mind where thoughts, emotions, and yes… even mental demons live. They’re there, influencing us in ways we don’t always notice. With that in mind, I aimed for something more surreal. A figure in a position that looks normal at first glance, but also feels sensitive. She's asleep, almost floating at the edge between consciousness and the subconscious.

I decided to include a flower, first of all because I really love them. But also because of the layers in their petals. I thought it was a perfect metaphor for the layers of the mind. If you look closely at the image, you might understand what I mean. Plus, the flower isn’t just there as an object. It’s part of the character. It’s almost like an extension of her.

This piece is about what’s inside. The not-so-pretty feelings that sometimes live in your head, mixed with visual elements I really love, like flowers, fish, and butterflies. That contrast between something dark and something delicate. It’s a mix of the surreal, the magical, and the emotional.

I saved a few process images, and I’ll share some here. But just so you know, I’m mainly doing this post by voice. I’m not really writing it out step by step, so it’s more like a freeform kind of narration. You’ll still see part of the process, but the post itself isn’t a technical breakdown.

I also made a video that I shared on X or Twitter, in case you want to look it up. I started this piece in ColorPainter, like I usually do. Even though I finished a few details in Photoshop (maybe about 10%), most of it was done in ColorPainter, which you probably know I love using. If you’ve followed my work for a while, you’ve probably read that in other posts. I really enjoy working there, especially when I want to focus more on the artistic side, exploring brushes and textures.

As always, I hope you enjoyed this. Thanks for reading. I’ve been pretty busy lately, so doing the post by voice —even though I did edit it a bit afterward— made things easier and helped me get it out a bit faster.

See you next time. Have a lovely day, afternoon, or night, and I hope everything you're working on goes well.

-.-

Thank you very much for taking the time to view my work.

✨✨✨
